Rouge Hematite by J. Herbin, the oldest name in ink production, established in 1670. This gorgeous Fountain Pen Ink comes in a 50ml glass bottle. The ink is non-toxic, pH neutral and is handmade in France.

The inks came well packaged and in good time. I ordered from the J. Herbin 1670’s anniversary collection. The 50 ml glass bottles are a thing of beauty in and of themselves. Lovely to display and a pleasure to write with. I have the Rouge Hematite, Ocean Blue, and Emerald of Chivor, all rich colours with shimmery gold flecks that settle on the bottom of the bottle, thus requiring a gentle back-and-forth nod of the bottle to blend the flecks into the ink. I particularly like using these inks with a calligraphy nib, which shows off the ink in a very appealing way."
